When someone asks ChatGPT who to hire, is it you?
Find out in two minutes.
Free, and no account. For licensed contractors in Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, and Clark counties.
We ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google the questions people type when they need a contractor, then write down whose name was in each answer.
Who should I call to replace my roof in Beaverton?
Three names came back:
The same question on Google, where most people still look.

What's in the report
We check your site, your listings and the AI answers
The report is a page we email you. It has five tabs, and the first one is what to fix first.
- 01
Overview
What to fix first, three things at most, and the report card below.
- 02
The AI answers
What ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overview said when we asked, each one on its own, and which companies came up instead of yours.
- 03
Findings
Every problem we found, the evidence, what we would do, and what might make that finding wrong.
- 04
The plan
The first ninety days, month by month, and the work in each one.
- 05
How search works
How Google, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity pick a company, and what we will not sell you.
Who you areWho pays you, what you sell, where you work
SupportedResidential re-roofs and repairs across Washington County. License record matched.
Site basicsCan Google, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity read the site
Needs workThe site can be read, but it is slow on a phone, and two old addresses go through more than one redirect.
Pages for the jobs people searchServices, places, titles, proof
Needs workOne page lists nine services. There is no page for leak repair, and no license number in the text.
Google Business ProfileCategory, services, service area, photos
Needs workThe primary category is General contractor rather than Roofing contractor, and no services are listed.
Map resultsWhere you show for your trade in your towns
Needs workNot in the first three map results for a roofer in Beaverton or Tigard from the tested location.
Search resultsYour pages, your rivals, links to your site
Needs workFound for the business name. Not on the first page for roof replacement in the three towns tested.
AI answersChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google's AI Overview
Needs workChatGPT named the business in 1 of 6 answers, Claude in 0 of 6, Gemini in 2 of 6 and Perplexity in 0 of 6. Google showed an AI Overview on 2 of 6 searches and named it in neither. The same two companies came up in each one.
ReviewsCount, rating, recency, where they are
Needs work41 Google reviews at 4.8, the newest from March. None on Yelp, which ChatGPT cited in 4 of its 6 answers.
Listings, associations and brandsDirectories, trade groups, manufacturers, local press
Needs workThree directories show an old phone number, and the business is missing from Bing and Apple Maps. It is not on the contractor locators of the two shingle brands it installs. Both rivals are on both.
Phone and estimate formCalls, forms, the estimate request
SupportedTap to call works on a phone. The estimate form asks roof age and material.

UnknownWe did not have access. We can see public results; we cannot yet see which pages bring in calls.
More than a hundred checks sit behind these eleven rows. Each row has the evidence, what it means, and the fix, in the order we would do the work. If we could not check something, it is marked unknown with the reason. We do not mark it as fine. What each tab holds, and how we measure
What we do each month
After that, we keep at it every month
Getting into those answers is ordinary work, done steadily. No trick. For the first three months we fix what the report found, biggest first. After that we keep checking everything, and we put the time where the evidence says it is moving.
Months one to three
- Fix the things that stop Google and ChatGPT from reading your site: crawler access, speed on a phone, redirects, titles.
- Build the pages people search for: one page for each job you sell and each town you actually work in, with your license number and photos of the work.
- Complete your Business Profile: the right category, your services, your service area and real job photos.
- Get your listings right: the same name, phone and website on Yelp, Bing, Apple Maps, BBB and the directories your trade uses.
- Get you listed with the groups and brands in your trade: the associations, manufacturer and supplier locators, and licensing directories for your work.
- Set up the review request: a short message with your review link after every finished job, and to past customers.
Every month
- Reviews: requests going out after each job, and a reply to every review.
- A new page: a job or a town, based on a question people actually type.
- A new place your name appears: an association, a manufacturer or supplier, a local feature.
- Upkeep: listings and your Business Profile kept current, and the site checked for anything that broke.
- Every check, again: the whole report card, not just the rows we are working on. Anything that slipped goes on the list.
- One email: what we did, each item something you can check yourself, what changed, what did not move, what we need from you and what is next. Your report page is updated to match.
- One question for you: how many real inquiries and booked jobs came in last month. It is the one number we cannot see ourselves.
From month four we put more of the time into whatever the evidence says is moving, biggest first. Anything we checked and left alone is logged with the reason. How it works, step by step
What it costs
$1,250 a month
It covers that work, every month.
No setup fee and no contract. You pay each month before that month's work, and you can stop any time. The plan ends at the close of the month you paid for.
Google and ChatGPT
Google ranks your pages. ChatGPT writes an answer from what it can find
Google can read your pages, so what you write about your own work counts. It weighs how close you are, how well the page matches the search, and how well known you are. The well-known part comes from links, articles and directories. That is what Google says in its own guidance for business profiles.
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity work differently. Ask one of them for a local company and it searches the web, reads a handful of pages and writes a paragraph that names a few companies. Those pages are your site, your Business Profile, review sites, association pages, manufacturer locators and local news. Gemini can use Google Search and Google Maps. ChatGPT runs its own search and, since July 2026, uses Yelp's data under a license. Your Google reviews are not part of what ChatGPT sees.
Your pages have to say what you do and where you do it, in text on the page. Your Business Profile, your listings and every other site that mentions you have to say the same thing.
Our guarantee
If we said we would do it, we do it. If we miss, we fix it.
At the start of each month we email you the work for that month and what we need from you. Each piece of work has a checklist: what we hand you, and the checks we run before we call it done. If we miss anything on that list, tell us and we fix it free. If we do not finish the month's work by the end of the month, your next month costs nothing, and we finish it then.
If we are waiting on you, or on someone else to decide, such as a directory or an association, that wait is not a miss. We tell you by email when that happens, and what we need.
Where you land in Google or in an AI answer is still their call. We guarantee the work we do, not where Google or any AI tool places your company.
One client per trade, per county
While you are an active monthly client, we will not take another client in your trade in your county.
The counties are Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark. If another client already has your trade in your county, we will not take a second client. You are next in line for that seat.
This is about who we take on. It is not a promise about what other outfits in your county do.

Questions contractors ask
Questions we get before anyone sends a website
The short list
What we do not sell, and why
Other firms will quote you for these. We will not. Here is why, for each one.
- An llms.txt file.
- It is a proposed file for telling AI tools about a site. No tool has said it reads one, and we have never seen it change anything. Charging for it would be charging for something that has not worked.
- Structured data as a way into AI answers.
- Schema is worth having. It states your name, address, and hours as data instead of as decoration. It is not what gets a company named in an answer. Anyone selling it as that is selling neat markup as if it were a result.
- A rank position in an AI engine.
- There is no ranking to hold. ChatGPT writes a paragraph and names whoever it names. Ask again and the list can change. A number in that space would be made up.
- A disavow file.
- Google says most sites will not need the disavow tool, and that it is for spammy links that have caused, or are likely to cause, a manual action against your site. If your links have junk in them, we will show you what it looks like and whether it comes anywhere near that.
- Credit for a change we cannot prove we caused.
- Answers and results move on their own, all the time. Unless we hold a baseline and compare, nobody can say a fix caused a change. We report what changed and stop there.
- Bing as a route into ChatGPT.
- Being listed on Bing is ordinary upkeep and worth doing for Bing. We cannot see which list ChatGPT actually reads, so we will not sell Bing as the way into ChatGPT.
If somebody quotes you for one of these, that does not make them a scam. Ask what result they expect, and how they would prove it happened.
Is your company in the answer?
We ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google the questions your customers ask when they choose who to hire, and show you who they name. It takes about two minutes and it is free.
